Danette Cienfuegos, LPC
I am an independently Licensed Professional Counselor with a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix, and a bachelors in Psychology from Prescott College. I have 18 years of experience in community behavioral health, have worked with various populations, ranging in ages from 5 and above, and with Spanish-speaking clients. I have experience with diverse populations such as trauma survivors, chemical dependency, chronic pain, mental and behavioral health, and legal involvement. I’ve assisted clients with issues such as child misbehavior, structural and parenting challenges, domestic violence, mood disorders, adjustment issues, self-esteem, and conflict resolution. My goal is to establish and maintain a trusting relationship with my clients and to remain culturally sensitive to diversity and experiences. My role is to support and guide my client through the presenting problem and assist them to reach their goals using a strengths-based approach. I embrace an eclectic theoretical orientation which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. I stand by the concept that for change to occur we must have self-awareness and insight into the root of the problem. I hope you entrust me with your circumstances, and I look forward to working with you.
