Tatum Faber, BA
I am an Intern currently finishing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Arizona University. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies and Human Development at the University of Arizona, and spent a year volunteering in communities across the U.S. with the AmeriCorps service program. I have worked with a variety of diverse populations including children 3-12, young adults 18-24, and older adults 65-80.
I am excited to enter the counseling field and put my previous experiences and studies to practice. My personal outlook on counseling is that individuals are the experts of their own lives. I take a strengths-based approach to utilize previous experiences and existing skills to focus on effective coping and achieve new goals. My goal is to foster a trusting and nonjudgmental relationship that honors diverse identities. I utilize mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and a Feminist/Multicultural approach in counseling. I aim to offer support, empathy, empowerment, individualized treatment, and further equip you with the skills needed to overcome current and future challenges.
