Diana Garcia, LAC
I am an Associate Licensed Master Social Worker. I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I moved to Tucson in 2018 with my husband and children. I received my Bachelors in Human Services from the University of Phoenix and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California. I hold a certification in Trauma as a Certified Trauma Professional. I have been in the mental/behavioral health field for the past 8 years. I have experience working with populations to include, eating disorders, substance use, trauma, at risk youth, children 4-17, adults and homeless youth.
I am a firm believer that mental and behavioral health can be stigmatized. Becoming educated and guided in client’s mental stability is my priority as a Therapist. Combining mind, body and soul in the healing process is important for each individual.
My therapeutic approach is utilizing Person/Client Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Play Based Therapy and Family Systems. My approach for children is to involve the family unit in the treatment process. I provide an unbiased, safe and healing environment for all my clients. My life motto; It is okay to not be okay all the time. We will get through the process together.
