Tia Abell, LCSW
I am a Tucson native who holds a passion for helping people. I am an Independently Licensed Social Worker who has worked in the behavioral health field since 2008. One of the things I love most about this career is that I am always learning, learning about new discoveries in this field and learning about the lives of those I work with. Every person deserves to be heard and understood and that is my goal as your therapist. I strive to provide a nurturing environment allowing you to express yourself while guiding you toward your goal.
I have experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief and loss, attachment related issues, interpersonal issues, and self-esteem. I have experience in several modalities that include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rapid Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I have worked with several populations but will be continuing to work with adults who are 18 and older. Due to living out of state I will be solely working with those that are wanting Tele-therapy services.
